“What it comes down to for me is that Windstopper fabric is AMAZING. It's so lightweight, but it really really does the job. That said, I find these tights to run somewhat large (seem to be designed for bigger thighs- that gives the jodphur look everyone mentions) and the fabric interior is itchy. I wear mine over another pair of tights. They're great that way as they really do block wind and keep you warm. I use these essentially as a lightweight softshell. Went xc skiing today with weather in the 30's and was almost too warm. Fell in the snow a few times (i'm learning) and these tights didn't absorb any moistue and kept me dry. I adore my windstopper jacket on my bike, and I assume these would be good on the bike too. The fit isn't ideal... They're high waisted and the waistband doens't stretch much. I'm 5'7" and 145 and the a size medium is a good fit, if almost a little big. Recommended for performance, but not for style.”
