I'm not sure if the sizing runs different in the different sizes (larger versus smaller), but I agree with the others that the size four is "vanity sizing." It's a six, easy. In my experience, size down in Mountain Hardware skirts, if you're looking for a 2 or a 4. If you're a 0 or a 00, I think you'll either need to alter it or look for another brand. The skirt itself was very cute: straightforward, fundamental cut, moderately short, quality fabric, nice stitching. It reminded me of the skirts I used to get twenty years ago in middle school, when we wore two pairs of socks. (Maybe that makes me "mutton dressed as lamb," but I don't care! I'm wearing short skirts while I still got the gams to, and you should too.)

So excited to get this skirt. Would work great in winter with tights and boots, but wasn't so heavy that you couldn't wear it with bare legs in the spring. Unfortunately the skirt was too big and I had to return it. (I'm 5' 8" 127lbs and ordered a size 6). Sadly The size 4 was out of stock.

Cute skirt, but I always buy size 6 and this definitely ran too big, I may try the size 4, since it is a nice skirt, but have to return this one. I'm 5'8 and 140 lb and I usually never wear a size 4.

This skirt is so adorable that I bought two. Sadly, the smallest size available is a 4. In this model I would need a size 2. Unfortunately, I will have to return them.

Just got this skirt the other day. The fit is perfect and the length is just right too. I love the corduroy and the back pockets are very flattering in my rear end :)So exited for warmer weather so I can wear it out!

Cute skirt and nice fit. Shorter than I typically wear but nice with tights and tall socks with boots.

This skirt fit well (true to regular Mountain Hardware sizing) and the quality looked good. I'm sending it back because I wanted to wear it in the winter with tights and boots, but the way the cord fabric was hemmed at the bottom, it kept catching on my tights and causing the skirt to shift and spin when I walked. Probably good for summer or without leggings, but that was not how I wanted to wear it.

Loved this skirt. Perfect petite length for 5'1" frame. Wore it to work with a slouchy boot. Fabric is stretchy and retained it's shape after sitting long periods of time without the "spoon butt" look.Thank you Mt Hardwear for another great product.
