    The fabric is very soft, smooth and comfortable. I am very picky about having ease of movement in my shoulders and this jacket seems to work OK. I got the Small. I am 5'2" and 120-125#. I am short waisted and a little hip-wide and have a little trouble keeping the jacket from riding up when zipped, but it's Ok and I'm keeping it. I get that a lot with jackets. There is no "interior MP3 Pocket" anywhere in this jacket as described in the details (and even on the little tag that came with it). I haven't worn it in the 5 degree weather here yet so I can't comment on temp/comfort. I will only be able to get one good layer under it or maybe two thin layers.

    Jacket is well-made, but I originally purchased this as an outer layer for skiing. I will probably use my other *insulated* ski parka for my upcoming trip in VERY cold temperatures, but this would likely would well when paired with a lighter fleece mid-layer for spring skiing. I actually think I will use this jacket more while sailing - makes a great foul weather/waterproof/windproof layer.

    I thought this would be good jacket for snowshoeing and cross country skiing, but it doesn't have enough pockets, or closure features (just a zipper). The weight is nice and the backing is warm so it would work otherwise.
