    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    most Hiking pants are on the thin side. these are a bit thicker but not really a winter pant without a base layer. they are quite stretchy but sizing may run small- I'm a 38 waist and ordered the XL, which fits pretty good. My favorite for cool weather is the Sportif Sutter, which has a liner but breathes pretty well as it is loose on the legs.
