I use this product mountain biking, berry picking, 4 wheeling. It is totally waterproof, windproof, and lightweight. It does need a cuddly under layer for warmth if in colder weather. I can't wait to try it cross country skiing.

I am 5'8, 160 lbs with very broad shoulders and large chest. Most jackets are too tight in the shoulders and chest unless I order an XXL, and then look like I'm wearing a tent.... This rain jacket fits perfectly (I ordered a Large) It is a little bit roomy at the waist and hip, but the adjustable hem really helps with the fit. I even have enough room for a fleece! Love the length (covers my rear end) The pit zips go from the armpit to the elbow which is nice, but there is no mesh lining. The arm length is just right, and my arms aren't unusually long.The hood is NIIIIIIICE, roomy, extremely adjustable, and the brim definitely keeps water out of my face/glasses. Top quality Mtn Hardwear, extremely well made, attention to details. Also love the Sierra TP eco friendly packaging ;-)

Of course this is just a shell so its not incredibly warm, but perfect for layering. I got the "green flash" color and LOVE IT!

I purchased this particular coat and not the Lowe Alpine one because it seems more stylish. But the reality is that it is as bulky as any other and doesn't take women's curves into consideration. Further the size is larger than expected. All in all, I have a huge waterproof sac lying around.

I needed a lightweight jacket to have for unanticipated downpours during biking or hiking. This jacket is stylish and fits great while being extra light. I'm 5'7" and the sleeves are long enough where they don't leave my wrists exposed even when biking. The back portion is long enough that it doesn't ride up too much if you are leaning forward. The hood stores in the collar when not needed and has a few adjustments for perfecting the fit during a storm. As mentioned in earlier reviews, the swirls on the front are not embroidered. I'll be interested to see how long they last before they start to wear off. The jacket is very functional and there is plenty of room in the armpits if an extra layer for warmth is needed. Having said that, it is not saggy and looks pretty darn good just for casual wear. I stayed perfectly dry during a downpour touring a castle...unfortunately my cotton shorts were soaked. I'm on the search for waterproof/breathable pants to match this great jacket.

I really like the jacket and have had many compliments on it. I do however need some instruction on how to get the hood back to it's original position.

VERY lightweight and packable. Just what you need for an outermost shell jacket. Wear it over a t-shirt in a warm summer rainstorm and it breathes well all day while keeping you dry or throw it over a down coat to keep the winter sleet and wind out!

I am really impressed with this jacket. Not too bulky & really good quality. I was a little afraid of the colour, but it is really fun!

Great ventilation for jungle climates (obviously gore-tex-awesomeness for serious rain), and a great shell for mild weather/wet winter sports. Easily one of the best in shape and fit of the anti-garbage-bag-like waterproof category. Hood cinch is comfortable and brim shape is great for visibility. Many awesome pockets.
