I've tried a number of Mountain Hardware products and have always been satisfied with the quality and performance of their products. These shorts did not disappoint at all and have become my "go to" shorts for pretty much everything - hiking, biking, and just wearing around the house. I would have given them five stars, but the right side pocket opening is made rather small to accomodate the change pocket at the top. It's a bit difficult to get my hand in the pocket and I don't have particularly meaty paws. Regarding the length - I wear 32" inseam pants and these are the perfect length shorts for me. The bottom hits right below my knee offering a bit of protection when I'm on the bike. Unlike other shorts that I've tried, these are true to waist size. I wear a 31" waist size in most pants and the 31s are the ones that fit me in this short.

I love mountain hardwear products to begin with due to their durability and comfort so when I saw this jacket for such a great deal there was no hesitation. It's heavier than just a shell rain jacket but it is light enough to wear during summer rainstorms. The inside is lined with a light fleece which is extremely comfortable and much better than what rain jackets are usually lined with. There a 2 good sized hand pockets, a chest pocket on the outside and a hidden chest pocket on the inside giving plenty of room for storage. The hood is not oversized and fits nicely with a beefy brim that keeps you 100% warm and dry. The only draw back is that it doesnt stuff down as Easily or as small as some other extra lightweight jackets but i am happy to trade comfort for that. I'm very happy with my purchase!

I haven't really worn this yet, other than to try it on, but it seems like typical Mountain Hardware good quality. Nice fabric and ventilation.
