    I liked the look of these Mountain Khakis alpine utility pants when I saw them on the STS site. I did not expect the pants to be so heavy, though. Too heavy for me. I returned the pants as I have no real use for that weight, nor functionality, even though I wanted to like it. These cotton pants are very heavy duty and should hold up in all types of outdoor activity. Great for utility work. It just was not for me.

    The sizing on these is spot-on. I love the gusseted crotch; makes for a much more comfortable seated position with crossed legs! I found these pants to be tough as nails...super high quality craftsmanship. The waist on these pants is high, just below the navel, which might be an issue for some people.     High quality construction,thoughtful and useful detailing. I use them for work,general carpentry etc. they seem to have a little less room then the carhartts I usually wear (B11) especially in the hips. I like the double layers of fabric in the back of the cuffs,seat and knees.

    These trousers are heavy duty, yet built to move around in. Worn them as many days as not since they arrived. The color is just slightly weird, and they do take a couple of washings to become comfortable. One of these products you can get for at a big discount on STP, and come away thinking you got a solid deal. The retail price on these is crazy.
