    These are fine shorts. However! They are made for someone with an hourglass figure rather than my 13 year old boy figure, ie straight. The waist was way too tight even though the hips were fine.

    These shorts ride nicely below the waist but higher in the back to prevent a gap or peek a boo in the back when you sit. They are very flattering and can be worn for day to day casual but are well made and hold up to strenuous hiking. I love them. I'm only 5'4 and curvy so it is a litle difficult to find a flattering functional fit. These shorts are short enough to look like shorts and long enough to not crawl up when hiking/walking. I plan to get another pair I love them so much.
