Bought two of these from STP, Great price BTW. Bottom line these packs get the job done, they are very adjustable and two boys aged 9 and 10 love their packs. They tell me they are comfortable and they hold plenty of gear. My boys were comfortable hiking into a back country shelter for an over night trip. The packs easily held the boys Sleeping bags, pads, change of clothes, water and the food for the whole family. No complaints about the weight or fit from either boy. I would reccomend these packs and I think they would even be good for smaller adults. STP price [...] was great as always.

WE BOUGHT 2 OF THESE FOR OUR DAUGHTERS, AGES 13 AND 11, FOR WHEN WE GO BACKPACKING. THEY COMMENTED THAT THEY WERE COMFORTABLE. WE REALLY LIKED HOW U CAN ADFJUST THE EXTERNAL FRAME, ESPECIALLY SINCE OUR 11 YR OLD IS SMALL. THE PACK FIT OUR 13 YR OLD PERFECTLY, THE WAIST BELT WAS A BIT BIG FOR THE 11 YR OLD. FOR THE PRICE, THIS WAS AN AWESOME DEAL TO GET OUR KIDS STARTED BACKPACKING.

Second of these packs I have bought for my boys. They are great for Boy Scout camping trips and allows them to pack all the need for a three day trip to include tent and sleeping bag. Highly recommend for a new Scout just starting out. It is at the right price.

This pack should work for my girls for a few years. Torso length can be adjusted as the child grows. They loved them so much they had to pack and use them the same day they arrived.

We initially bought six of these for a Scout Troop because they were priced right. When they arrived, we liked them so much, we immediately ordered four more. Several of our Scouts have ordered their own. They hold a lot of gear and are super light compared to other packs. They could use a little more padding. The pockets are large. I think this pack is about 3300ci. Came with a free raincover. The only complaints I have heard are: there is no bar to hold the top open to load gear and the little rings that hold the pins in place are super hard to get on/off when making adjustments. This is only a concern for us because we need to adjust and fit the packs from trip to trip. If you were buying this for your youth and had the tools to adjust at home, it would be no problem.

Bought this for my 10 year old going to camp. The size is perfect, plenty of pocket space and main cargo space. Rain cover is nice touch. This is perfect for young backpackers

My 10 year old carried her entire load easily with this pack. Just what we needed, and I think she'll be able to use it for years.

Great starter pack bought for my son on his first camping trip with the Boy Scouts. The pack was easy to adjust. The only complaint he had was that it had too many pockets and he couldn't remember where he had put everything!!

I was expecting a dividing shelf and a lower access into the main compartment in addition to the top opening. This bag has neither. So that we will not have to remove each item separately from the pack to acces the gear toward the bottom of the pack while we are out in the forest, we will use a few large ditty bags so gear can be pulled out and still contained within a bag. The materials and workmanship are beautiful. The bag has great adjustability, and the lashings provided are very useful. The rain cover is great. There does not seem to be much room below the pack for lashing on a sleeping bag and mat, so one or the other may have to be lashed on top of the pack. Unfortunatly this might put it right over the only opening to the main compartment. Looking forward to packing it for the first time and working out the bugs.
