    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I was very happy to purchase the Bugaboo at your on-line store. I think it is a replica of the original pack. I have three Bugabooes of two kinds. Two, including this pack I bought here, are the original type and the other the next. I prefer the first type to the second in shape. True, both of them are relatively small, a capacity of about 1700 cu. ins., but the first is more comfortable and easier to load and adjust. I use the Bugaboo for different purposes. It is very convenient for traveling or outdoor life. I can also pack my essentials and layers needed in winter activities, such as day hiking or skiing. I have six brands of eleven packs now, small to large, depending on various uses. Six packs of all I have are Mountainsmiths'. The original Bugaboo is one of the most favorite packs that I have ever had.

    too small for my needs

Nice pack, well made, comfortable fit. I have had several Mountainsmith packs over the years and I've enjoyed them all. This pack was just a bit too small for the gear I need to carry. I returned it for a refund. As always the customer service and return process with Sierra Trading Post was flawless.

    Pros:
durability, Excellent fit with weight, Good size for 1-3 nights, Great for travel, Unzips for full access, Useful detachable bag, Zips can be locked closed
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I used this bag for shorter backpacking trips and found it to be a superb combination of size and fit. It really sits well on your back and hips for scrambling and climbing. Because it is wider and flatter than most internal frame packs, it doesn't pull your center of balance back much at all. Where it absolutely shone was on an 8 month trip around South and Central America. It held up to all kinds of busses, backpacking in Patagonia and Guatemala, beaches in Panama and Ecuador and on and on. It does a MUCH better job of keeping the weight close to you than in most travel specific packs. That means you have better balance and it is much more comfortable. Because it zips up, it is a much better option for travel than most mid-sized outdoor packs. The outside pouch that snaps on has been great as well. It is very flat, in keeping with the weight distribution model, but I've found you can fit a fair amount into it and tie the straps to make it a backpack. After all of that, it is still in great shape.
