Verified Buyer Reviewed by Angelfire from Georgia on Wednesday, November 4, 2015I am impressed with the high quality and sturdy materials of this lens case. It is well padded and even has an extra pad to place over the top of the lens. There are multiple ways to attach the case to your pack or hip belt, and there is a shoulder strap. Inside the lid is a small net where you can store memory or other small items.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Angelfire from Georgia on Wednesday, November 4, 2015I am impressed with the quality of this case. It is well padded on the sides and bottom and even has a separate pad to put inside over the top of the lens. There is a little net inside the lid where you can store memory or other small items. It also has many ways to lash or strap it onto your pack or hip belt, as well as a shoulder strap.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by ak from CA on Saturday, October 24, 2015I am a professional photographer and own many bags and lens cases by other manufacturers. The Mountainsmith LC2 lens case is extremely well made. The foam shell is more rigid than other brands, there is a removeable pad inside to protect the top, there is a mesh pocket inside the lid. The velcro belt clip works securely to attach to a belt carrier system or standard belt. There are also loops on the side of the case to attach to another bag or harness with straps. The included shoulder strap is not something I will use, but is of nice quality and metal spring clips I can use to carry a tripod. The only issue I found was the Mountainsmith label on the front was sewn crooked, a little annoying, but does not affect function. If STP carried other lens sizes, I would by them all.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Pixelated from Livermore, CA on Friday, October 2, 2015This lens case is very versatile. Not just for camera lens but also for use as a can cooler (one can) or a personal ditty bag.
Reviewed by T-town STP backer from Oklahoma on Wednesday, July 15, 2015Mountainsmith products are well made with top quality materials. This case has rigid form on the outside and it back is firm plastic. It is not "bomb proof", but provides enough protection I can feel secure when taking lenses on vacation. Small prime lenses will need added packing to avoid rattling around, though I was able to get both the Nikon 35 1.8 & Nikon 50 1.8 into it (snuggly). . I have been able to get the following lenses in it: Tokina 12-24, Tokina 100, Nikon 18-55, Nikon 18-70, Nikon 18-200 and hood (reversed). My Nikon 70-300 VR was too big, but the 70-300 nonVR fit (also snuggly).
