Nice features include aluminum poles, easy clips, small gear bag to suspend your flashlight or whatever, good ventilation, good rain fly, well made. Full doors on both sides, which is also nice so you don't have to crawl over someone to get out. Roomy enough for 2 comfortably. Not minimalist, but also not too big or heavy. I have a 65L pack and the tent takes up about 20% of it, but could compress it more. Looking forward to many years with this one.

I have had this tent for many years. It is roomy for two people. Great quality.

Purchased this tent due to good reviews...glad I did. Aluminum poles pack shorter than glass poles and reduce their weight significantly. I wish the vestibules were larger but I can still fit my Kelty Slickrock pack under it. Nice zippers and stays dry. I use it for solo backpacking and with my 10 yr old son and it fits the bill perfectly! The stakes are a great design but bend fairly easily in compact soil or if you hit a root...does not include stakes for tie outs on rain fly either. Overall I love this tent and highly recommend it for a budget packing tent that is well built and reasonably light.

Purchased this as my first backpacking tent and purchased my son an Alps Taurus 2. The vestibule are much larger on the Alps and there is a little more floor space as well in the Taurus. The Mountainsmith is a quote a bit lighter, packs smaller and easier to set up than the Alps. All in all I love this tent and have no complaints with my purchase. I use this for weekend backpacking trips.

Used this on an overnight backpacking trip. Very easy set up (color coded) and rain fly went on great too. The stakes don't offer much for leverage to push down on but luckily we were on soft enough ground. This does not come with a footprint (ordered one for Mountainsmith Morrison Tent off amazon and worked great). It was snug with two people. I had room for my gear as im 5'4 but boyfriend is 6'4, no room for his stuff. Love the two doors and the vents in the rain fly.
