I was test-driving this tent to wake up to the sound of rain on the fly. I stayed dry and happy. I like the features it has, like a fly that clips easily onto the main body. Watch out when cinching it down, I had to use the old duct tape to repair a snapped clasp. Cinch it before connecting it, and you'll be fine. I like the vents, and they didn't let water in. This is my first Mountainsmith purchase, and I would definitely consider their products in the future. And thanks to STP for another great deal!

After receiving the Mountainsmith Celestial 2 person tent, I set it up. I noticed several blemishes on the mesh and material on the tent and decided to return it and keep searching for a 2 person backpacking tent.

Love the tent.Great for 1 person & gear inside or big enough for 2 people & your gear can go in the vestibule I'm able to sit up in it. Small enough for my kayak & easy to put up.

I just took my son (8) on his first backpacking trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in MI and we had a blast. The Mountainsmith Celestial Tent was a great replacement for my old backpacking tent. Pretty basic and perhaps a little heavier than an ultra-light enthusiast may want but for short distance overnights it is perfect and a great price!
