I needed a good size travel bag . This is it! The cool thing is that you can zip off a day pack, both bag have plenty of room. Although i haven't taken it any where yet - i suppose around the block doesn't count- it's adjustable and not too big.( i'm kind of small). all in all a nice bag .(only 4 stars because i have not used it enough.

I was looking for a pack to use when I go to Costa Rica this winter. I haven't used it as of yet but it looks like exactly what I wanted. Lots of compartment and with the detachable pack I think this will be an awesome pack for adventure traveling. Less expensive also.

We bought this pack for my daughter, who is spending a term abroad. She needed a good-sized second bag as well as a regular backpack for everyday use. This suited both needs. Along with a pull-along, mid-sized piece of luggage, she packed everything she needed for 6 months away from home, including her laptop. We are very happy with the purchase!

This backpack is more like an upright duffel bag than an elongated backpack; the internal Delrin hoop doesn't provide sufficient structural support to keep the bag from sagging when it's upright. There are 3 different haul straps for carrying in addition to the barely adequate duffel bag shoulder strap. With the aforementioned caveats, this bag is great for travel for a minimalist. It provides plenty of storage space, pockets, and many ways to haul it around (on your back, shoulders,...). The best feature of all is the detachable daypack! It also has plenty of pockets, and the description doesn't mention the two mesh pockets on the side for water bottles! Because this is a bag that tries to be a backpack, duffel bag, and a travel luggage; it performs adequately for all those functions and definitely not excel in one particular function.
