No, I would not recommend this to a friend

“the product is fine, but your shipping choices are terrible and as far as I am concerned a future deal breaker. I paid 20 bucks to ship this article to Canada, but when Nationally Known shipper showed up they wanted COD for another 19 dollars to cover a cross border brokerage fee.In all my life I have never had a brokerage fee. I wound up paying more for shipping than I did for the article!”
