Mountainsmith Dog Pack - Small

This pack is very well made and should last for years to come. Our Boston terrier/beagle wears it and she weighs 32 lbs. The straps have soft padding to prevent chafing. Now we can take longer hikes together.

Bought small and it fits my 45 lb boxer mix, maybe this runs a bit big.

Dog loves it and im glad he can carry his own food and water.

We use the pack for day trips and weekend backpacking trips- it doesn't bother her at all. It doesn't slip and it stays upright on her well. We originally bought a medium, she is a 65 pounds, and the bags were just too big, we were afraid they would get in her way; the small fits her well. We are very happy with this product, especially for the price.

My Brittany Spaniel wore her Mountainsmith small dog pack for the first time on a hike today, and it worked out great. We'd gone on a few walks on familiar dirt roads before while trying to get her used to the pack, and it seemed to make her slow down. When going into the backcountry today, however, she acted like it wasn't even there. She was carrying a water bottle and a package of moist dog food in each side of the pack, and it stayed attached correctly the entire hike (about six miles through rugged terrain). We did a lot of bushwhacking, and the pack held up just fine. I bought this pack for backpacking so that my dog could carry her own food and water and reduce my own pack weight, and today's hike indicates that it will work perfectly. I have a medium-sized dog, and after reading other reviews I chose the small pack size. It actually fits my 40-lb. Brittany Spaniel just fine, and I think the medium pack would have been too large.

I was very pleased when I opened the box and saw the Mountainsmith Dogpack. It was suggested by a friend of mine who hikes and camps regularly. I'm really happy with the ease of snapping the pack on and off. The pack holds everything Charlie and I need for a hike...water, food, their containers, poop bags. And, most importantly for me...Charlie seems to have no problem wearing and walking with the Mountainsmith Dog pack. Thanks guys...thank you for manufacturing a great pack for dogs

Fits great. Large pockets are nice.

My dog wears this on runs, to tire her out a little extra. She doesn't even seem to notice it. Top notch product.

The pack itself was great- sturdy, good material. The plastic buckles however didn't stay closed and within the first five minutes I was carrying the pack. There was no way to fix it. I returned it for another brand.
