“Great Pack for the Price”

“I bought an REI dog pack for my younger Border Collie mix, and she immediately ripped it to pieces in the woods, so I upgraded to a Mountainsmith pack. In fact, this is my second Mountainsmith dog pack; I bought this one for my older Border Collie mix. I have used it for carrying water on long mountain runs and for backpacking. It is very durable and seems comfortable enough. It certainly rides well on the dogs' backs. I would caution that it runs large, so the small fits my dogs well, and they are both between 40-45 pounds. The bowls should come in handy for backpacking, but the bed is probably worthless.”
