    The bag appears to be well made with the exception of the connections of the strap to the bag. The strap is attached to the bag through two thin leather pieces on the bag. These are not sufficent to carry much weight and will surely tear in time with little effort.

    What was Mountainsmith thinking to put such a flimsy strap mount on an otherwise nice quality bag? I would never trust this bag to carry even the smallest camera. I should have heeded the earlier review about the strap mount, which is about as tough as Scotch tape. It's a shame (for me) [...] Almost a total loss.

    The strap mounts on this bag are so thin and weak that they would tear with very little use. I would never trust even my smallest camera to this bag. I should have heeded the other reviewer that said the same thing.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    this bag looks very nice for point and shoot camera or binoculars. However, there is no belt loop and the neck strap connection points on the bag look very weak / I could be wrong about there strength but I wouldn't test it. Why there isn't a buckle connection is beyond me. In my opinion a sertious design flaw but for what I paid it's cheaper to keep it then return it.
