    Pros:
    Basic, Comfortable, Tough
    Cons:
    Few pockets
    Best Uses:
    Around town, day hiking, Weekends
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Thought this pack would be a bit bigger. Dimensions on STP don't match volume listed (1000 c.i. on STP, 2000c.i. on another site), and could use one more zippered pocket for the little stuff. Pack seems longer and not as deep as I hoped. Wanted a pack with some room and versatility without a formed padded waist belt that I could toss in the car or ride my bike with. That said, I really like it and have had good luck with Mountainsmith, not to mention it's bomb proof. Overall, great pack.

Great pack for day hikes or spending the day on campus. Plenty of pockets and easy to get at anything you have in there. Considering its size, it doesn't seem to have a huge internal volume. Still, a great pack.

Heavy duty zippers and simplistic design make it a good choice for my needs. Hidden, internal pocket is good for storing small valuables while traveling. If you need or want lots of small pockets this is not the pack for you, but if you want durability and simple design this may be the one for you.

Really nice pack for the money. Solid construction and comfortable to carry. I prefer to travel with a pack and this one is the right size for me for a long weekend.
