I hike with poles due to sciatica pain and a bad knee and these work great for me. I also intend to use them for snowshoeing in the future. They were inexpensive too. I'm only 4'10" and they adjust easily and to a comfortable height.

Light weight and like the shock absorbtion action. Used on one long hike so far and worked well.

High density foam hand grip is comfortable ... additional anti-shock built in. Padded screw top for camera mount a nice feature, can lean into pole for stability ... I have always used two poles when hiking, mostly 2nd hand store ski poles. I bought two of these with coupon and am very pleased. Nice to collapse poles for transport. My mini ball camera mount fits the 1/4" threads, and the padded top screwed on top of mini ball threads ... Very pleased!

Light weight, easily adjusted, sturdy ... baskets lock securley in place if needed ... minor spring noise from anti-shock system on rough terrain helps keep the bears away. Will see how they hold up on the long haul ... have Mountainsmith lifetime warranty, wear rated ... Highly Recommended!

Got this for a friend, got a set of the same brand for myself. Just testing out trekking poles so went inexpensive, great seal on STP. It seems to be made well, the pole extends easily, etc. Hard to tell how sturdy it is but I think for light/normal use, as opposed to hard core serious hiking, it will be a good test pole. The handle has nice cushioning which would probably be comfortable.
