This could be a great pack.....if it were about 1/3 smaller. Its too big and though other reviewers had said so, I figured I had to see it for myself. Unfortunately, this will have to go back. I cannot see myself toting this thing on a regular basis. Particularly when it is nearly double the size of my travel pack in which I can place enough clothing and personal items for a two week trip.

The other reviews said this was big, and they were right! This is a great backpack, big enough to hold 'most' of my equipment. Will use it more as a carry on and storage pack than a backpack, would be pretty heavy filled with glass. I love it!

The pack is big but it is great. Plenty of protection with a lot of versatility. If you don't have a lot of gear, you can pack your lunch and supper in with your camera and still have room for a light jacket.

We've used the pack a couple of times to haul video gear to the field. The adjustable shoulder and waist straps help distribute heavy loads quite well. The pack has so many pockets you could forget where you stored your gear.
One complaint are the puny zipper-pull grips. One grip has already been yanked off. We intend to replace these as needed with more durably made pulls.

WOW-this thing is HUGE--think a good-sized carry-on! Much too big for us--we needed a travel and storage bag for about 3 lenses and an SLR and a tripod--this seems to be for a professional photographer...or a serious enthusiast. That said, it appears to be of quality construction and has A LOT of storage space. This is going back..for the Quantum version. Still a great deal for luggage!

This pack is absolutely huge and well-suited to storing and transporting a serious camera outfit to a photo shoot. Tons of compartments and pockets make storing and accessing equipment and accessories easy. At nearly 8 lbs., though, this is not a camera pack for hiking or trail use (my intended use)--it is at least twice as big a necessary for that purpose.

The design of this pack could be imroved. You have to completely open the pack to access camera equipment and it seems they constructed the clam shell opening backwards so that you have to unfold the whole thing to get at your stuff. Also the two outside pockets are huge. It would be better to have some smaller outside pockets and more of them so I could store more film, filters, light meter, flash, etc. As it is I have to open the entire pack to access these things. Also comfort is OK but I think the camera pack makers need to look at how backpacking packs are made - they are much more comfortable and better fitting. What good is the pack if it's too uncomfortable to carry my gear?

I own four camera backpacks and even more shoulder bags. This is one of the best backpacks I have seen/used. It is big enough for my rather extensive camera system and also big enough for me (I'm 6'1").
