    I recommend adding a an additional laptop slim profile case just to be super safe. I would hate to drop this bag with nothing between the bag and the shell of the laptop. Think safety, people!

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    This is a well-made backpack, but not ideal for SLR camera equipment. The smaller bottom compartment is divided and well-padded, but limited in capacity. The larger upper compartment lacks dividers and camera/lens protective padding.This is a good buy only for a smaller SLR and one small accessory lens and maybe a flash (bottom compartment), with the rest of the pack being used for clothing or books and maybe a small laptop.

    The only downside I have found is that the camera section is a little tight. I have a nikon and 2 lenses. I had to remove some of the velcro dividers to get everything to fit. (I travel with my cords as well.) Other than that seems like a great bag so far.

    This is a great travel case for camera and laptop --- and all the required parts fit. The only problem for me ia that I am 5' 1", and it a a little large --- but anything that can carry all of this equipment safely has to be. Now I can't wait to travel.
