Mountainsmith Trekking Poles - Paired

Using this product for intermediate hiking and fitness walking. Seems just right.

I have a pair of these poles and use them for snowshoeing and hiking. Mostly these are a second pair that my daughter or another companion uses, but they seem to work as well as my Komperdells, though I have not been able to purchase winter baskets for them. I ordered a second pair as a gift for a friend who hikes with me. While mine came with summer baskets and the pair I bought for him claimed to come with trekking baskets, his actually came with winter baskets. These also come with rubber tips, which are handy for protecting the interior of your car of travel bag when transporting the poles, or for use on paved or rocky surfaces. Anti-shock works, poles lock to selected length quite well as long as you tighten them securely.

Works great. these poles saved my behind a few time already this year. they are great for hiking. they really come in handy for stream crossing and extra traction on snow/ice or just rough terrain.

My wife and I put these trekking poles to the test on a hike last weekend and were really impressed with them. They were great for all uses, including stability when crossing water. They're very well made and not too heavy. Yes, you can get lighter ones if you're willing to pay 5X the price, but the difference in weight is minimal and these perform just as well as you'd expect any trekking poles to.

I use these poles as extras for family/friends that do not have their own. They are a great price. They are heavy for regualar use or long hike/backpacking trips.

I bought two pairs the first pole saved my life but got bend under a fall, but while using for the first time the second pair one of them bent easily, and at 5000 meters, that is no good!

These trekking poles are for my wife to use during daily strolls to weekend hikes and they work great. Light weight but very sturdy and easily expanded and collapsed. Very nice product.

I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but they fit for my planned usage. They are light weight, easy to adjust, and priced right.

Rubber hand parts are making the sticks heavier.You can use these ones where the weight is not a problem for you.Any way ,I used them for a winter mountaineering activity.Two of the snow palletes are broken after 8 hours walking through snow.

My wife and I hike 2-3 times / week; and we use these poles every time. They are a tremendous help when climbing and descendng over rocky trails. We "don't leave home without them".
