I love the Moving Comfort sports bras but this one didn't work for me. It's a nice sports bra but I'm an A cup and it was just a tad too big which didn't make it fit smoothly.

The photo looks like another Moving Comfort bra that is more expensive - this is all stretchy stuff that stretches out and then you wash it and it's OK again. The chest is weirdly small and confining, but as I need compression sports bras, not a problem. some sideboob and funny little breasts in the center too close together! Again, still looks OK. Not ideal, but very inexpensive.

The fabric felt so strange, I almost returned the bra. But once I wore it, it felt alright. The velcro straps have to be lined up just right so that there is no uncomfortable rubbing on the skin.

When I got my first on of these sports bras and tried it on, I very nearly returned it. I did try it, though, and now, it's one of my all-time favourites for running. Very good at wicking. Velcro straps stay in place. And, best of all, no chafing or blistering!

I normally love my Moving Comfort bras but this one is just plain weird. The material is really stiff (for a bra)- almost waterproof material but the worst part is the band. It's really stiff, wide elastic that has NO "give" to it so it puckers, rubs and chafes. I gave it a good shot, wore it a couple times but just can't make it work. Returning mine.

  • Question “are the straps snap or velcro? i have heard you can breastfeed with this bra. is that true?”
Asked on 2/17/2011 12:00:00 AM by running mama from mobile, al
    • Answer Yes, they are velcro. They are attached in the back come up over the shoulder through the loop then have about 2 inches or so of velcro that attaches to the underside of the strap. It should work for breast feeding.

  • Question “I have the moving comfort Maia bra and really like it except it comes up too high in front. Is this bra similiar to the Maia? Does any one know how it compares with the Fiona? Thanks!”
Asked on 5/4/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer This bra is similar to the Maia as it will come up high in the front as well. The adjustment of the straps and the cup support are different but they have a similar fit.

    • Answer The Fiona has been my favorite sports bra for the past 2 years. I just tested the Helena bra last week. I was impressed. It feels like the next generation of the Fiona. It has advanced seamfree construction and consequently the fabrication seems more rigid than the Fiona. However, I like that. It truly limits bounce. The Helena is a strong sports bra!
Answered on 6/3/2010 12:00:00 AM by VMH from New York City
    • Answer This one is a tiny bit lower than the Maia, and tends to gap out - I think because the neckline is wider than the Maia. The material is much different from the Maia as well... less cottonlike and more of a smooth plastic feeling. Even so, I actually like the Helena more than the Maia, it's just all around more comfortable and less scratchy. The Fiona doesn't have molded cups (and makes the dreaded uniboob), so I wear it over the Helena for running. The band style bra over the separation style bra is the best combo for high impact activities, in my experience. Hope that helps!

    • Answer This bra doesn't come up as high on the chest as the Maia (maybe a bit less than an inch lower), and it doesn't have underwire. But it runs smaller than the Maia so order a size up!
Answered on 8/25/2010 12:00:00 AM by MaryK from Pasadena, CA
    • Answer yes. It's very high. I don't like it because of that.
Answered on 9/6/2010 12:00:00 AM by texasindia from Lawrence, KS
    • Answer I have both bra's, and they are totally different. The Fiona does come up much higher. This one fit's a little tighter, lower across the front with MUCH less shaping (more Uniboob) and this bra does not hide when you get cold the way the Fiona does. Similar in amount of support, but looks much more like a traditional sports bra.

  • Question “it mentions molded cups in the description but then underwires in one of the reviews. does this bra have actual wire underwires or molded cups?”
Asked on 3/14/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer This Moving Comfort Helena sports bra has a banded front and interior cups.
Answered on 3/17/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care 2 from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer No, there are no underwires in this bra.
Answered on 3/28/2010 12:00:00 AM by Elizabeth from Virginia Beach, VA
    • Answer Cups are molded -- no underwire
Answered on 4/13/2010 12:00:00 AM by KG from Philadelphia
    • Answer No there are no wires in this bra. The cups are molded from a bonded type of almost softshell type material.

  • Question “It says to order next size up, if i am a 36dd do I order a 38c or a 38d?”
Asked on 2/26/2010 12:00:00 AM by Holley from Maine
    • Answer You would order the same cup size, so you would want to go with a 38DD.
Answered on 2/26/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I would try a 38D, or 38DD, if it comes in that size, because the band is what feels tight. Fasten it at waist level, then pull it up.

  • Question “Can you explain how the adjustable straps work? Are they velcro? I was concerned they might not stay in place after a while.”
Asked on 12/14/2009 12:00:00 AM by kpikespk from Colorado Springs Colorado
    • Answer I have never had a problem with the velcro straps staying in place with moving comfort products. They seem to have excellent wear.
Answered on 12/28/2009 12:00:00 AM by Biker Gal from Bellingham, Wa
    • Answer Yes, they are velcro. They are attached in the back come up over the shoulder through the loop then have about 2 inches or so of velcro that attaches to the underside of the strap.
