The leather has a wonderful dusty patina that gives it a robust aesthetic -- like it has traveled around the world a time or two. Hides are cured with natural vegetable extracts, yielding a rich honey-brown hue. Waxy tannins rise to the surface over time and enhance the leather's character with natural marks.

    bought this in 1998. it has held up very well. doesn't hold as much as it would seem. And due to the weight of the bag by itself, when filled, feels very heavy. I often don't use this bag, because when filled, feels very heavy. GREAT quality! Beautiful bag. get lots of compliment s - I even bought an Angler's bag to match. I'm very happy with that one, too.

    This is a gorgeous bag that will just get better with time. I wasn't sure when I ordered it, but after it arrived and I looked at it for awhile, I came to realize what an excellent bag it is.
