This pair is just what I wanted. The houndstooth check is a great look for spring. The shoes work well with nice jeans, dressier slacks, and skirts for a tailored, classic look. They were a bit tight on the first wearing, but not uncomfortable. They have stretched a bit, but not enough to slip off my very narrow heel. I'm looking forward to wearing them often.

However, I thought the houndstooth pattern may make these a little more stylish, so I ordered my usual size 7N. When I received them, I was glad I ordered. The overall look of these shoes was pleasantly surprising. Unfortunately, the 7N fit more like a 7 Slim. Back they went, but a 7M was ordered in exchange. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will fit.

I can't wear this style usually because my narrow heel slips out, but I have a 8M Monroe shoe that works so I figured this one would be kinda narrow in the heel and fit - it almost did - except my toes were mashed - no way this is a medium width shoe. The fabric has no give. Too bad because the shoe looks adorable. Narrow heel - very narrow toe box.
