Closeouts. A wedge heel and feminine, slip-on design give Munro American's Sydney shoes a leg up on the classic ballet flat, complete with an eye-catching fabric upper and pretty shoelace bow over the instep.

My foot is actually a 10 AAA, a size that is seldom made any more. In most brands nowadays, I have to move down to a size 9-1/2 where the AA width is a little too wide and the AAAA width is far too narrow. I think that Munro tend to run narrow anyway and I usually do well with a 9-1/2 N in this brand. The width works great for me and though there's not an abundance of room in the toe, there's just enough in the 9-1/2 N. I bought these particular shoes in a 9-1/2 SS, though, which was all that was available. I was able to do this because Munro closed toe shoes are made with a really nice removable insole. When I take the insole out of my 9-1/2 N Munro's, they're far too wide. When I took it out of these 9-1/2 SS shoes, however, they fit perfectly. Plus I have a nice new cushy insole to use in other shoes. I'm glad that Munro gives me this flexibilty in sizing. With the size(s) I need, I'm glad to find anything, to tell the truth!

I love the Munro brand because they're exceptionally well made and one of the few brands available with very narrow widths. This pair is just what I wanted. The houndstooth check is a great look for spring. The shoes work well with nice jeans, dressier slacks, and skirts for a tailored, classic look. They were a bit tight on the first wearing, but not uncomfortable. They have stretched a bit, but not enough to slip off my very narrow heel. I'm looking forward to wearing them often.

What a perfect shoe for my slightly narrow foot (I leave in insert intact, remove it and you have more room). The fabric is beautiful, the toe not too blunt or boxy and incredibly comfortable. A fabulous shoe!

I had reservations about ordering these shoes. The Munro brand always looks a little geriatric to me. However, I thought the houndstooth pattern may make these a little more stylish, so I ordered my usual size 7N. When I received them, I was glad I ordered. The overall look of these shoes was pleasantly surprising. Unfortunately, the 7N fit more like a 7 Slim. Back they went, but a 7M was ordered in exchange. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will fit.

I got 8M shoe for my medium narrow size 8 feet w regular arch/instep. I can't wear this style usually because my narrow heel slips out, but I have a 8M Monroe shoe that works so I figured this one would be kinda narrow in the heel and fit - it almost did - except my toes were mashed - no way this is a medium width shoe. The fabric has no give. Too bad because the shoe looks adorable. Narrow heel - very narrow toe box.
