The little brown buckle in front is a bit strange & if you take (cut) it off...you will still have "loops" that do nothing. The top fit great! Ok swim suit

Product description says it is removable but the only way I could find to remove it was to cut it off and so it can't be re-attached. Find a tankini top that comes down low enough to cover the belt loops and it looks fine. I bought it for the color to go with a tankini top I already had and it works great!
