Good detail on the maps, just zoom in to get better topos. I have 4 of the Topos and also bought 2 of the Trailsmart maps. You have to keep installing each time you get a new CD then you should go online to get the latest version of the software. I don't know about any GPS capabilities.

I thought it would be very useful to plan an extended trailer trip to this park but it seems to be intended for hikers. I never opened it. I feel more info could have been iIncluded in brief description. Part of the fault must have been mine for not reaklizing what it was. I'll be returning it--still unopened.

Was under the impression there would be more of the Northern Cascade range than just from mid Washington north. Turns out we needed the central part of the Northern Cascade map for the Stevens Pass area. Would be helpful if the numbers for the Forest Service roads were given.

It's cheap , But it doesn't work with windows 7 .

Although this product may have more capabilities than I have found, I had difficulty navigating around the program and it took some time to find how I could use the program. The maps are filled with great detail for the areas that I searched and easy to print. Installation onto my computer was difficult and I had to run the program off the included CD to use the program. I would still recommend this product because of the detailed maps that are available on the CD and that you can manipulate the maps size and the area covered to customize it to your trip.

I guess it was on closeout was that it was so old. It is designed for Windows NT from 2001 -- should not be sold by you without this caveat. I am very disappointed, but for [$], it isn't the end of the world to lose.

Doing a dual sport motorcycle tour through the area using online maps on a netbook where 3G/wifi is available. This will come in handy when no internet is available and will help finding NF campsites.

The software is too old to run on vista. It was made in 1997
