Made of cow hide not calfskin; therefore, shoes are heavier, but probably more durable. The last squeaked for two or three wearings. Annoying, but it went away. The shoes are comfortable, but the instep band is high on the instep making it impossible for me to put the shoes on without a shoe horn. I doubt that I will ever be able to "slip" into them.

Bought this shoe for my husband. I have bought shoes from Sierra before for both him and myself and have never has any problems until now. The color of the shoe I received was a purplish hue. Not a wine color but a cheap purple color. The leather is also stiff and cheap looking. Sent these shoes back.
