I felt like they would fall down the first couple of times I wore them but they basically stayed up. I did have to do a ittle tugging on them, which never looks too good in public. The other trouble I had was at the bottoms: the elastic does kind of cut into my calves. You don't need strong elastic there! I'm hoping they will relax with time, but not the waistband! I'm going to keep them because they are real cotton, which is getting harder to find, and also because the length is just what I need.
