Neve Designs Audrey Sweater - Merino Wool (For Women)

It does require a liner - I use a sleeveless silk top. I've only worn it once so far and got a compliment. So I'm very pleased. Wine color is lovely. Don't know how it will wash.

Very soft, nice sweater. The weave of the sweater is loose, leaving gaps in between the vertical braids. The bottom hem, sleeve hem, and neck all skip the traditional ribbing and just have a more modern, curved edge. This sweater is long, and although I like the length (it goes to my hips), my husband thinks it is too long. Perfect for keeping the thermostat low and staying warm, but wouldn't be the sweater I would pick if I were outside anywhere windy due to the loose weave. This sweater is bulky, so if you want to wear a coat over, the top layer will need extra room.

I liked the look & ordered 3 of these sweaters, 1 each in caramel, wine & ash. The ash color falls between pearl & linen shades. They fit beautifully & are long in the body, coming down over the curve of the hips. The knit pattern is very nice, however it does leave small openings over the front, basically in line with the breasts (hence the sexy) but if you find these too much, wear a camisole or vest under the sweater. The openings are perhaps the size of a dime. The sweater does fit slightly large, but the benefit to that is you have more room to layer beneath without looking like a quilted puffy coat. While the sweater does say dry clean only, I am willing to bet it could be washed by hand in Woolite & if it did shrink slightly there is enough 'extra' to accommodate the experiment.
