New Balance 101 Trail Running Shoes (For Men)

I love these shoes. They feel so light. Very fun to run in. I ended up getting two pairs I liked them so much. They are a good balance between a minimal shoe like the Merrell Trail Gloves and a padded up running shoe. They were comfortable right out of the box but they do stretch some. My longets run has been 14 miles and my feet felt fine in the 101s. The fit is a little odd for me. I wear a 43 in La Sportivas. The first pair I bought were 9.5. These had about a thumbs width up front. A little roomy, especially without socks. I didn't notice it much while running but I think it allowed for some rubbing on my feet. I got another pair in 9. These are more snug and closer to the Sportiva fit. I haven't run in these yet but know they will feel better without socks.

I have received 3 compliments on these. The color is really cool, if you feel comfortable wearing green shoes. Wear a green shirt with jeans and all is good. Wore them for 10 hours on my feet and felt ok. May need a little extra arch support. seemed true to size

This is a good shoe for the right person. My back reacts when the heel of the shoe is lower than the toe. This shoe does just that
