My favorite athletic shoe brand comes through per usual. Not a runner but these are comfy for walking around and general use. Buy American whenever possible but especially when the quality is superior as in this case.

Best road shoes I have ever had. Though I started with New Balance in 1995, I had migrated to Saucony and Merrill. The first time I put on my NB 1226 I went out for a 9 mile run, versus my usual 5 miles. Since then I have signed up for my first half marathon.

Bought this shoe for short 2-4 mile runs on pavement. So far there are no disappointments. Shoe is as advertised. Shoes are very breathable. Been on a few runs now and no associated pain and I'm still breaking them in.
