I normally go up half a size on New Balance shoes bkz they run small. I did that with this pair, but guess what - they run true to size so now I have a pair that's 1/2 size too big. Bummer!

This is my 4th pair of Rock and Tone shoes. They are the best shoes I've ever had for walking. I also have several pairs of Aravon casual dress shoes with this sole and find I can walk for hours touring, shopping etc. and have no pain to my feet afterwards.

After reading the other reviews, I decided to try these because of the thick sole. I'm glad I did. I've never had such comfortable shoes! I have bad arthritis in one knee and wanted something to help absorb the shock of walking, especially on pavement. These really make a difference. The first few days were tough on my leg muscles - using them in different ways. But, now they're the only pair I use for walking.

I use mostly for walking...outside & inside. Be sure to buy 1/2 size larger than normal if you want to wear socks. These shoes run small but otherwise great shoes. They even withstand the washing machine once a month.
