I work on concrete flooring and wear these daily. I have worked this job for 15 years and this is the first shoe that I have made a repeat buy for. The soles are well padded and thick enough to absorb the shock of hard concrete floors and 4 flights of stairs. My first pair lasted 18 months of daily ... Read More

I uderstand that this shoe has been discontinued but I have found a replacement that hopefully I can use in the future. I have a balance problem and the tread on this shoe make me much more stable.

If you have a slight stress fracture or heel spurs, this shoe does wonders! Keeps the foot in place so you can heal and still be on your feet! I will always look for the absorb technology in a New Balance shoe. Sturdy shoe!

Have loved this particular shoe since it is the only one I have found that is comfortable for my feet since I've had foot surgery some 8 yrs ago. I am so sad to see this shoe being discontinued by New Balance. I am religious about walking on a daily basis since my open heart surgery and these shoes have met my needs for that, as well as for just recreational and casual times! New Balance has dropped a very good shoe in my estimation, and I've so very sad to see it discontinued.

These shoes are a little narrow, but I've had these shoes before and know that they stretch out in a few months.
I wear them on country roads and mountain trails and they are great on both, they even hold their grip on wet rocks!

  • Question “how are they in the wet?”
Asked on 11/22/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer These are not waterproof shoes and you will not want to wear them when outside for prolonged periods of time in wet conditions. It will soak through the mesh.

    • Answer They do not have a waterproof lining inside and are therefore not technically waterproof like a good hiking shoe. They can handle wet grass OK but not puddles. I wish they were waterproof too!!
