    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    This has to be the worst New Balance shoe I've ever seen - the forefoot sole was thinner than a flip flop. The rear had two layers with an open space between them - perfect for collecting road grit and mud, and not likely to last very long at all. I sent it back.

    I bought these for my son, and he really likes them. He has really wide feet, so I got him 4E width, and I think he won't tear out of the side of these shoes like some of his old shoes. Usually I can't find wide enough shoes for him. Good price, good value.

    i need something light, good support, good traction on a variety of surfaces and breathable. This shoe is working great so far. I work with a trainer twice a week, and on my own another 3-4 days a week. I like the light weight and good grip in the gym, and the shock absorption on pavement. Good shoes, good price!
