I have had these shoes now for 6 months, running in them 1 or 2 times a week, 3 or 4 miles each time. When I pulled them on yesterday the material that supports the cushioned foam upper around my achilles tendon had folded over on its self. This happened on both shoes. The effect is like trying to wear running shoes with a doubled over piece of cardboard jammed down the heel of the shoe. I have never had a shoe fail in this way before.

the shoe itself seems like a great shoe. Great hiking tread and nicely breathable. I havn't had them in water yet so Im unsure about that. The reason I gave it a 3 star rating is that one of the shoes has had some cushion move and get bunched up behind the heel causing me to blister on that heel. How ever I think thats sort of a fluke thing and wouldn't expect that on every pair.
