He likes the mid-height of these cleats, as they provide ankle support, and prevent the heel from slipping up and out of the shoe while crouching behind the plate. The soles are made of durable, yet rigid, plastic, with metal spikes. His only complaint after wearing them several times is that they will take awhile to break in, as a result. He has been wearing NB cleats for 10 years, because of the quality, comfort and durability. These are no exception!

He typically wears a 9-1/2 (we ordered a 1/2 size up due to other's recommendations) so the size 10 is a perfect fit. New Balance shoes tend to have a wide toe box and support a low arch or flat feet. He really likes these cleats and isn't having foot pain while playing in them.
