    These shoes fit and feel as described, wonderful. The quality and reliability is similar to all New Balance items. The only complaint for some might be that the orange is actually quite a bit brighter in actuality. I don't care, but it's good to know. Well worth full price, but an exceptional deal for anything less.

    I bought these for my son for hiking. He is not the "hiking boot" type and loves New Balance shoes. Like others have said, the size does runs small so definitely order at least one shoe size larger than you normally wear. Thank you to all the people who commented on this! Getting the larger size also helps avoid the toes from getting jammed up on inclines. I learned this very quickly with my first pair of hiking shoes. As I said main use was for hiking but he wears them almost everyday and loves them. Lightweight and the sole is not thick and stiff. Traction is moderate, comparable to other lightweight hikers, but not suited for rough terrain since there is not alot of side ankle support. Since we don't hike that type very often it fits his needs perfectly. Mixed terrain should not be a problem and paved and flat surfaces is like walking in any type of cross trainer. He is very satisfied with them and I believe you will be also!

    I bought this shoe for trail running and as an alternative light hiker. I am very pleased so far. I haven't bought a NB product since the early 90s...so far I am very pleased. I hope to get many more months out of them.
