The MR817MC is an excellent running shoe. I'm a competitive runner who logs a lot of miles and this shoe fits nicely into my rotation. It's very stable, well cushioned, and somewhat light feeling for a heavy duty motion control shoe. Recommended if you want a shoe that can take a beating.

Wore the shoe immediately for workout, and casual wear to break it in. New Balance shoes have previously shown good to excellent durability; I expect the same out of this pair

I am a daily walker of 5 to 10 miles and my pae is strenguous. The fit is perfect unlike others I have tried which state they are medium width and in reality they were narrow. This shoe is a true medium width. It does run 1/2 size small so order accordingly.

This shoe is loaded with features and benefits especially stability and pronation control. But, the pointed and narrow toebox does not represent a genuine New Balance SL-2 last. The SL-2 last has been my only choice for several New Balance shoes for years. But, this pairs shall be returned today and exchanged for another brand and style.
