I've worn nothing but New Balance shoes to the gym for about five years now, and this is the first pair that I've felt haven't been supportive enough. I work out pretty hard and partway through a couple of classes wearing these shoes my arches have started to cramp. I'll probably buy some inserts for them, but that will double their cost, making them not such a great buy after all. All other aspects of the shoe seem up to standard.

I have a narrow foot and New Balance has always worked well for me. I will order another pair as these are A-1 quality for the $$.
