    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    These are so light and thin I almost feel naked running in them (though I've never really run naked). The inseam isn't excessively short (at 5") like those 3.5" shorts, but I don't see how any could be much lighter. These are comfortable shorts for running and would be fine out in hot weather. But they are on the short side of acceptable and the leg holes are big, if you get my drift.
