Marketed for running, but I bought for biking in cold weather and XC skiing. Good product for both with wind shileds in front and thermal insides in back and calves. Fits long thin legs without looking tinkerbell-esque.

Too tight, which would be fine it they were stretchy. I returned them.

These tend to slip down if not tied real tight. Other than that, very pleased. Would buy and recommend especially due to price. Comparable tights are much more expensive.

Funky tights. Funky fabric, funky fit and funky noise. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill black running pants.
The fabric is two-layered and comfy - no chafe-inducing 'hotspots.' But IT IS LOUD. Not when the outside layers come in contact and rub together but when the inner layer rubs on your skin. You get quite audible 'swishes' from your thighs and calves. You can't hide it.
Which brings me to the fit. Large at the beltline, yet very tight across the lower half of the fanny. Loose at the top of the thigh, tight in the middle (noise area) and loose in the knees. Same for the lower leg - tight and noisy across the calf and loose everywhere else.
I'm a pretty normal sized guy - no bubble butt or softball-sized thighs or stumpy legs. These britches are cut funky.
Good stuff here, just know what you're getting.
    • Best Uses: Competition, Cycling, Running
    • Cons: Longer than advertised, Loud fabric, Poor Fit, Weird fitcut
    • Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational
    • Pros: Allows Free Movement, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Good in the wind, Lightweight

I bought the pants as a cold weather runner to wear instead of my running tights. I did not like the fit around my groin area. It was not tight fitting as I planned. I am 6ft 1 inch and I found several inches of material hanging right where my legs come in contact while running. Well, chaffing occured and became painful at mile 6 of 10. These might be better used for walking in colder weather, but not for running. I plan on returning them in hopes of a pair of cold weather tights that do not chaff my legs during the higher mileage runs.

New Balance gear is generally reliable and provides good performance. These tights are an exception. They are badly sized.
