Well - I did not feel that was true at all. I flucuate between a L and XL to begin with so I thought surely I would need an XL. Well - I don't know about anyone else, but I don't enjoy running and trying to exercise when I have to be yanking up my drawers all the time! I would say stay true to your normal size - these are RUNNING PANTS people - they are not supposed to be loose and comfy to serve their purpose :) ps - once I got the right size - I LOVED these capris! :)

However, the panels were not flattering on me as they seemed to be cut for someone with leaner legs than mine. So, I had to retrn these and begin the search again. If I could just lose another 5-10 pounds from my 5'3" 132 pound frame, these would have probably done it for me. I had ordered a size small.

They fit perfectly, stay tight and stay up!! Nice long drawstring in front and have a rear key pocket inside. Also nicely designed stitching for support in all the right areas. I love these capris and highly recommend New Balance!

Also the cross-seaming on the legs indented my legs making it look like a sausage casing. Mind you, they were not tight and fit size wise, but becasue the fabric is thin and my physique is not young & toned like it used to be I decided to return looking instead for a higher spandex content.
