    I wore these socks for the first time on a 5 mile run. They were very soft like cotton, but kept my feet cool and dry. They have just the right amount of cushion. Definitely beats paying $10 a pair.

    These do have slight but noticeable flaws in the fabric which have so far not affected their wear. I found them too loose and sloppy on my foot and planned to return them, but my daughter liked them so I gave then to her. In the same order, I purchased the CoolMax New Balance sock which is more snug. So the looseness is not the brand, it's the specific style.

    It's nice to find lightweight socks that are not made with a high percentage of cotton(actually none). These will dry faster and not compress so much during use. I would recommend hanging them to dry unless you want them to shrink. DW doesn't always do this and they still hold up well. So far, can't tell they are seconds.
