I took a chance on these boots and am delighted with them! The twill lining is fine where I live, because I wanted a short boot for hot-weather light ranch duty. Very attractive muted storm-blue color too. Ordered my usual size, and there is room for a basic arch support ¾ insole. Only very thin socks work right now, but after the uppers stretch out some I may be able to wear a tennis crew. Have not found them hard to get on as other reviewers reported. The first time trying them, they were rather stiff, but they have loosened after wearing them for a week. Now I can step into them without any tugging at all. I have a very high arch and a low instep. Maybe that helps.
The only drawbacks are a): there's not much cushion inside, so I added gel heel pads too; and b) the sole of the heel section is slick on wet surfaces -- it seems to be made of hard plastic. Will take them to the leather shop and have rubber heels put on, and that should take care of the problem. Yes, that's an added expense, but I was able to get these boots when they were marked down, so it works out ok for me this time.

Great boot for the price, which I got on a reduced sale offer. It'd be nice if the lining was leather instead of twill, but overall, really like wearing it with jeggings, maxi skirts and flowy dresses. Great for that boho-chic look.

I wanted these because of the low heel and pretty color. They are the most troublesome boots to get on and the leather is cheap. I have to really the pull the sides of the boot( no pull on tabs) which hurt my fingers.. The inside heel crushes underneath. I have narrow feet and have never had a problem with pull ons. Bad enough it has a twill lining (which I may tear out)and the leather does not respond well to leather care products, like saddle soap. They don't to shine up after buffing at all. I still like the color but will stick to frye. I would not recommend these boots for those who are into and mainly wear boots.
