I purchased a Red Ledge Rain Jacket from Sierra Trading Post a few years back. Whne new, I marveled at how it beaded up rain and slid off the jacket. After a a couple of years of wear the rain simply soaked into the jacket. So I got both the Nikwax Tech Wash and the Nikwax Wash-In TX Direct Waterproofing thinking I could once again get water to bead up and slide off. The wash did a very nice job of cleaning the jacket. And I followed directions carefully, even calling Nikwax to review and clarify treatment processes. The TX Direct Waterproofing did not re-waterproof my garment and I can only think that I will have to try some other product to restore waterproofing. I had high hopes, but was disapointed with the Waterproofing.

No home should be without this if you have suede shoes. Works like it should as long as you lightly brush and re-apply consistently. This won't turn suede boots into rubber puddle splashers, but I've never found a product that can and still allow the suede to look good. My daugher wound up sharing her's up and down the dorm hall. Good stuff!

But work it does!Use the gentle cycle on all down clothing and cold water. All clothing should be turned inside out before laundering and tumble dry on low heat with a few tennis balls thrown in to fluff the down.
