“Runs large, full cut”

“I bought this jacket in a large, but the cut is very full and it felt closer to XL. The medium, however, was just about perfect, though the absence of any kind of bust darting makes this size very snug across a size 14 chest. The Renaissance Pesto is a beautiful colour and design, with the background a lush olive-green (very like the sauce of the same name) with espresso-brown florentine-style figuring. The cut is very simple with no shaping, giving the jacket a loose and rather boxy feel, but the armholes are well-set and comfortable and the overall sizing is, as noted, generous. The jacket is unlined and runs just a little shorter than I would have liked, but there is a wide self-facing at the front edges and the hem is a generous 1.5 inches so in theory you could re-tailor it a little. Get it for the lovely fabric - I worried that I'd feel a little "upholstered", but it's very soft and easy to wear.”
