I chose my sizing based on the reviews and made sure to get a size bigger than usual. The shoes fit great. They are well ventilated and I use them for my daily commute and my cycling training. The closures are sturdy and the shoe rides well.

These shoes have a wider toe box than many others, which is exactly what I was looking for, but I had also heard that their size runs larger than all other shoes...if I need a 46 in Shimano I would need a 45 in Northwave. Well I had bought a pair of Shimano R009 road shoes that were a size 47 and they were a half size too big, so when I ordered these Northwaves I ordered a size 45.5. Makes sense, right? They are a half size too small. Unfortunately Sierra Trading Post didn't have a 46 so I sent these back and found a 46 on [...]. They fit perfect and I love the stiff sole.

I read the other reviews and saw that lots of people had issues with them being too small. So, I ordered a size bigger than my normal shoe size. They seem to be about 1/2 size too big, still. They're usable, though. Just have to really tug the straps tight. Other than that, I don't know anything about cycling shoes. Seem fine to me.

Way to small. I am trying to exchange them for a size and a half larger than I normally wear.

This is the best fitting shoe I've found, for the money. I wear them regularly on 100+ mile rides with no discomfort at all. This is my second pair. My only complaint, and it's not really a complaint, more of an observation I guess - there's no pad on the front bottom of the shoe, so when you do have to walk in them, and you will, it wears fairly easy there. Not a huge thing, my current pair I've had for 3 years and they're still going fine, just wearing a little.

Love this shoe. It's a good fit for my narrow foot, is well vented, and with the carbon is super light.

Not sure what happened to Northwave, I've worn size 47 (us 13-14) Northwave shoes since the mid 1990's. This pair of 47 looked small from the box, and near impossible to fit my foot into the shoe. I had a co-worker who wears size 11.5 shoes try on and they were TIGHT on his feet

The sizing chart says that 47=size 13 1/2-14size US and other information on your site says 47=14 US. I am returning them. I went to a bike store for a new purchase and the Euro size for me is 50 and I am 14 US
