I have not used these socks for hiking yet but I love to wear them for every day. They have great cushioning and an arch support band. They are not overly cushioned so I can actually wear them with my everyday shoes with comfort. I actually enjoy wearing them in the winter because they keep my feet from getting cold because they do wick away the moisture.

These socks are well made and the material is wonderfully light and so soft. I've always liked CoolMax for it's wicking properties. These should make excellent summer hiking socks. Gave 4 instead of 5 stars only because the 4/6.5 is slightly large for a women's size 8 foot but not so large that they bunch up.

I bought two pairs of these socks, one of each color. The red ones turned the sock liners pink. Other than that, the socks were wonderful!
